I think a majority of librarians can all appreciate space/storage issues when it comes to placement of magazine back issues. The 7th grade students from the local middle school found a different way to work with old magazines….by making vases.
Not that using magazines to make vases can really help a library’s space/storage issues, but it’s an innovative (and artistic to boot) use of materials that are often viewed as cumbersome. The vases’ detail, colors, and structure is truly amazing to see.
